The screw has a 1/4" tripod thread (6.35 mm thread diameter). This thread corresponds to the internal thread found on almost every camera, spotting scope, or many telescopes.

The screw is therefore ideal for building your own tripod solutions and camera mounting systems.

The screw has a wide slot suitable for screwdrivers. If a screwdriver isn't available, a coin will also fit in the slot.

The screw also fits into photo prism rails such as the... PSFOTODel by TS-Optics. This screw allows you to attach your spotting scope or lens using two screws, preventing the optics from twisting.
