The stable prism rail PSFOTO18 enables the adaptation of heavy instruments such as spotting scopes, cameras with telephoto lenses or telescopes to mounts with GP-level quick coupling or to photo tripods and tilt heads.

The two long holes make the prism rail particularly flexible:
For example, you can attach two pipe clamps very close together. The distance between the pipe clamps can vary from 28 mm to 160 mm.

Or attach compact telescopes and spotting scopes using a universal mounting plate with more than just one screw. This significantly increases stability.

The slots are designed for 1/4" and M6 hexagon socket screws. The thickness of the rail is 5 mm at the countersink. We therefore recommend screws with a 10-15 mm thread length.

The prism rail also fits on photo tripods and tilt heads:
The rail has a 1/4" photo internal thread exactly in the middle. This means that the rail fits on photo tripods and tilt heads. You can also use it to attach your telescope or spotting scope to a photo tripod. The prism rail enables effective weight compensation if the spotting scope is top-heavy, for example.
