iOptron Electronic Polar Finder iPolar for AVX (and EQ5)

Electronic Polar Finder: No more crawling under the mount! With this accessory, you can conveniently and very precisely perform the polar alignment of your mount on your screen. The electronic finder has a built-in camera. This shows you the position of the north celestial pole and the location of your mount's polar axis on your laptop or PC. Simply align the two points using the mount's azimuthal and equatorial adjustment screws - and you're done!

The position of the north celestial pole differs slightly from the location of Polaris. The electronics calculate the exact position from the date and time. Thanks to the camera's sensitivity and large field of view, polar alignment is successful even with a mount that is only roughly correctly positioned.

It also works in the southern sky! At low latitudes, atmospheric refraction is also taken into account.
