The stock spur gears are replaced with a timing belt.

This kit replaces the stock spur gears with a timing belt. The tension pulley reduces tracking and reversal errors and virtually eliminates the familiar grinding noise.
The gear ratio remains unchanged; this eliminates the need to modify the hand control software. All SynScan functions remain intact.

A 6 mm wide timing belt is used; this eliminates the need to cut into the mount housing, unlike similar products. The pulleys are manufactured specifically for the EQ6; no standard parts are subsequently adapted for this kit.
