LUNT LS100THa / DSII Double-Stack Module for LS100THa

Double-stack module for more contrast and details on the sun surface with the LS100THa telescopes.

With the LS100THa H-alpha solar telescopes double-stacking is possible with the LS100FHa filters or these internal DSII double-stack modules. Double-stacking with the LS100FHa filters (article number 0550400) is the professional but also expensive solution. The DSII Double-Stack modules are an inexpensive way of double-stacking. The DSII modules reduce the half width to <0.5 Angstrom. The DSII modules are designed to better show the surface details of the sun, significantly increasing contrast and making filaments and active regions more visible.
The LS100THa / DSII module is designed exclusively for use in the LS100THa telescope, it can not be used on other telescopes.
ATTENTION: Can only be used on LS100THa telescopes, which have a red anodized lens socket! Not usable on older LS100THa telescopes without this red lens holder!

Please note that the DSII modules also cause reflections, which are noticeable as strong brightening around the sun. This so-called "glow" is no problem when observing the sun's surface. But it can complicate the observation of protuberances, and many observers find it disturbing. These reflections can be effectively reduced with the optionally available as an accessory anti-reflex filter HRG100DS (article number 0551491).
