A very compact but complete telescope for observing the sun in H-alpha light.

LUNT LS50THA / B600PT H-Alpha Solar Telescope

The LS50THa solar telescope has a free aperture of 50mm with a focal length of 350mm and a half width of <0.75 Angstrom. The telescope is equipped as standard with the air pressure tuning system "Pressure Tuner", the etalon is safely installed inside the telescope. Protuberances and surface details can sometimes be observed very quickly in between, for example over a coffee. Its extremely compact dimensions make it an ideal travel companion for anywhere.

In the zenith mirror, a B600 blocking filter is installed. This one offers a wider field of view than the smaller B400 and is very well suited for the visual observation of the sun. The telescope is focused with a helical focuser.

Please note that this telescope has only a very small back focus and therefore photography is difficult. The LS50THa is designed for visual solar observation. Therefore we recommend the 60mm telescopes of the LS60THa series for the photography of the sun.

Double stacking with a reduction of the half width to <0.5 Angstrom is also possible with the additionally available LS50C filter (0550210). This can be screwed directly onto the LS50THa telescope. This significantly increases the contrast on the sun's surface, allowing more details to be seen on the sun.
