The superb new Skywatcher AZ-GTi alt-azimuth mount—weighing just 1.3 kg and easily portable—features a built-in Wi-Fi module, allowing it to be controlled via your smartphone or tablet using the free SynScan app for iOS and Android.

The AZ-GTi mount generates its own Wi-Fi network, so it can be used anywhere without relying on external Wi-Fi networks. After entering your coordinates into the app and performing a simple alignment procedure, you are ready to explore the universe using the intuitive touchscreen menu. Combined with the SynScan app, the AZ-GTi functions as a fully computerized GoTo mount, capable of automatically slewing your telescope to any object from its extensive built-in database of over 10,000 celestial objects.

The mount is equipped with patented Skywatcher Freedom-Find™ dual-encoder technology, which allows the telescope to be moved manually on both axes without losing stored positional data. This offers the user great freedom and enables comfortable, flexible observing.

The Skywatcher AZ-GTi mount operates very quietly and supports a payload of up to 5 kg. It is equipped with a Vixen/Skywatcher-style dovetail clamp for attaching your telescope.
