The fantastic new Skywatcher AZ-GTi alt-azimuth mount is lightweight (only 1.3 kg) and highly portable; it features a built-in Wi-Fi module, allowing it to be controlled via your smartphone or tablet using the free SynScan app (available for iOS and Android).

The AZ-GTi mount generates its own Wi-Fi network, so it can be used anywhere without relying on external Wi-Fi networks. After entering your coordinates into the app and completing a simple alignment procedure, you are ready to explore the universe using the intuitive touchscreen menu. Combined with the SynScan app, the AZ-GTi functions as a fully computerized GoTo mount, automatically slewing your telescope to any object selected from its extensive built-in database of over 10,000 celestial objects.

The mount features Skywatcher’s patented Freedom-Find™ dual-encoder technology, which allows you to move the telescope manually along both axes without losing the stored positional data. This offers the user great freedom and ensures a comfortable, flexible observing experience.

The Skywatcher AZ-GTi mount operates very quietly and supports a payload of up to 5 kg. It is equipped with a Vixen/Skywatcher-style dovetail clamp for attaching your telescope.
