The Skywatcher Explorer-150PDS telescope has a 150mm aperture and a 750mm focal length. A 2" Crayford focuser and a 1:10 micro reduction gear for precise focusing complement this high-quality instrument. Connecting standard cameras and CCD cameras is no problem. A 1.25" adapter is included, allowing the use of 1.25" eyepieces.

The parabolic primary mirror, combined with the relatively small secondary mirror, ensures good field of view/focus correction, resulting in sharpness and contrast. Therefore, not only bright images of deep sky objects are a delight. The moon and planets offer a wealth of detail (fine craters and grooves on the moon, cloud bands on Jupiter, or the rings of Saturn, for example) that will delight you in every area of ​​astronomical observation.

Due to the versatility of this telescope and its reasonable price, this instrument is also highly attractive for school astronomy.

This Newtonian telescope is universally applicable and suitable for lunar and planetary observations (we recommend a Barlow lens for higher magnification). It is also fast enough for successful exploration of deep-sky objects, such as galaxies (M31, the Andromeda Nebula, or M81 in Ursa Major), the Orion Nebula, or the globular cluster M13.

The 2" Crayford focuser with 1:10 reduction:

The Dobsonian is equipped with a smooth and precisely crafted 2" Crayford focuser with a reduction for 1.25" accessories. It allows you to use high-performance 2" eyepieces, providing a bright image and a wide view. All 1.25" eyepieces can, of course, also be used.
Since the focuser is mounted on ball bearings, precise and easy adjustment is guaranteed even with heavy accessories.
To achieve particularly precise focusing, the focuser features a 1:10 micro reduction gear.

The mount is equipped with motors that locate and track the object via the handheld controller. A solid foundation for visual observation and for beginners in astrophotography.
