Aperture ring for Newtonian telescopes

Product Description

Please note: This aperture ring can only be ordered via this link:

Aperture Ring for Newtonian Telescopes
Aperture ring for Newtonian telescopes in sizes 5", 6", and 8" to prevent unwanted diffraction effects.
Please select the appropriate size.

The filament used to print the aperture ring was specially developed for industrial applications and is characterized by its high UV and weather resistance. It is therefore particularly suitable for outdoor use. The filament is matte black and dimensionally stable up to 80°C. According to the manufacturer, even up to 160°C!
Benefit from my years of experience in 3D printing!

Tested in an oven at 100°C for 30 minutes. The aperture ring remains absolutely stable. At these temperatures, I'd be more concerned about the telescope than the aperture ring :-)

Here's the original video on the topic. In this video, I also show you how to mount the aperture ring on the primary mirror.
Please don't overtighten the screws, otherwise the mirror may warp slightly, which can lead to astigmatism.

Suitable for:
SkyWatcher Newton and Photo Newton
Celestron Newton
Orion (USA) Newton
and many others....
I'd be happy to print an aperture ring without holes for you, and you can then drill them yourself. Or an aperture ring in a custom size. Please send me a message.
