AZIMUTAL GOTO MOUNTING WITH TRIPOD

The easy-to-move, azimuthal Skywatcher Star Discovery Mount with SynScan ™ WIFI module is designed for convenient, wireless control with your Android or iOS smartphone or tablet using the free freeware SynScan app.

The attached WIFI module creates its own WIFI network, which means that the mount can be used everywhere, even without any other WIFI network. Once you've entered the coordinates in the app and performed the simple alignment procedure, you're ready to explore the universe with the app's intuitive touchscreen menu. The SynScan app provides fully computer-controlled GoTo control of the mount and automatically moves your telescope to any object you select from the app's extensive database of over 10,000 objects.

The mount is equipped with the patented Skywatcher Freedom-Find ™ double-encoder technology, which allows the mount to be moved by hand without losing position and alignment data. This gives you tremendous freedom and added convenience and flexibility during your observations. The mount works very quietly and has a maximum payload of 5 kg. The telescopes can be attached via a standard Skywatcher / Vixen standard prism rail.
