This innovative GoTo system uses only electronic and hardware components produced in Europe.
High precision motors allow speeds from 0.05x to 1000x. The STARGO interface on the mount has many useful connections. In addition to the classic ST4 Guidingport, the controller has 3 Auxilary Ports for various devices, a port for connecting a DSLR camera, a USB port and a connection for motor focusers.

Each STAR-GO controller comes with a PC software interface that can control the mount as well as all connected components. A simple hand controller is included. Control via Bluetooth via optional Android apps possible. Software updates directly to the PC are possible at any time.

The drive technology via precision timing belts - no more gearbox problems:

The AVALON mounts are driven by a toothed belt. It has no backlash and is superior to other mechanical drive designs such as friction wheel. The pendulum error occurs slower than most classic mounts and is absolutely regular. There are no gearbox errors. The advantage - autoguiders can work very well with the AVALON mounts and produce perfect dot-shaped stars. Just transmission errors that are difficult to control, there is not in the linear drive.
