EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC LOSMANDY G-11 PMC-Eight GOTO Mount
The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC LOSMANDY G-11 PMC-Eight GOTO Mount features a completely new and US military-developed Goto controller. It consists of a robust Wifi Controller unit, which provides all necessary interfaces. Thus, the NEMA 16 stepper motors are connected directly to this unit via cable and also an ST-4 compatible autoguider interface is of course available. The controller also supports microstep operation to ensure accurate tracking. The power is supplied by 12 V DC and the power consumption is at full load max. 2.0 amps. To operate the controller can be used either a Windows 10 PC, Windows Tablet or Windows Smartphone with Wifi function. The specially developed APP ExploreStars offers a graphically very successful user interface. Thus, the currently possible alignment stars for the initialization of the controller and also all celestial objects of the database are displayed as a star map with additional text information. All these objects can be conveniently viewed and selected. The heart of the controller unit consists of a completely self-sufficient 2-channel multi-processor with 8 CPUs and a Wifi Ethernet 10/100 adapter with IP function, which allows operation from anywhere via browser, ASCOM, APP or via serial port , The name Open Goto also promises the ability to write your own firmware and to load it into the controller unit. Thus individual adjustments of the device functions and also the creation of own object lists etc. are possible.

Scott Losmandy is the manufacturer of this worldwide very popular G-11 telescope mount. Scott Losmandy has allowed us to equip this mount with our newly developed Explore Scientific PMC-Eight GoTo system and distribute it as a complete package.

Also included is the Losmandy G11 axle extension. This allows the mount to travel well beyond the meridian position without hitting the engine casings. In addition, the axle cross can be divided for easier transport.
