The new HAZ31 Strain Wave from iOptron is an azimuthal mount with full GoTo functionality and other innovative features. It is compact and lightweight at 3.7kg, but can still carry a load of up to 14kg. This makes it a wonderful travel mount for visual use. The well-known Go2Nova® technology from iOptron also offers a database with 212,000 objects on this mount, as well as ASCOM compatibility and, thanks to the integrated WLAN, control via tablet or smartphone via SkySafari, Raspberry Pi or INDI . The dual Vixen/Losmandy saddle and the stable construction allow the use of various medium-sized telescopes and even the connection of large binoculars! The multifunctional mount of the dovetail clamp can be adjusted either laterally or horizontally (above) on the mount, so that large binoculars and telescopes with a longer focal length can be securely attached. A counterweight rod with a counterweight is not absolutely necessary!

The built-in control mechanism "Electronic Friction Brake" stops the movement of the mount immediately if the power supply is accidentally interrupted. After switching on the mount, it calibrates itself and also recognizes its position. A power pack is also included, as well as a robust (but light!) transport bag. Tripod and pillar extension are optionally available, as the HAZ31 fits any stable photo tripod with the appropriate carrying capacity. However, we recommend using the iOptron tripod "CF Tripod 40mm" (item 77370).
