The TS collimating telescope has a built-in illumination with a rechargeable battery and a USB-C charging port, allowing precise collimation of Ritchey-Chrétien, Cassegrain, and DK telescopes, as well as refractors.

With the alignment telescope, you can perfectly align your telescope in just a few minutes.

With most alignment aids, it's difficult to identify the individual elements visible when looking into the telescope. This makes precise alignment difficult and the alignment process time-consuming and inaccurate.

With the TS Alignment Telescope, these problems are a thing of the past: With the sliding focus, you focus on the element to be adjusted (e.g., secondary mirror) and are not distracted by other components or reflections.

Thanks to the integrated illumination, the telescope can be adjusted even in bright environments. The generously sized battery allows for an operating time of approximately 20 hours, so even with frequent use—for example, in professional applications—it rarely needs recharging.

Suitable for aligning refractors
To focus on the objective lens of short-focal-length refractors, the alignment telescope can be extended with standard T2 tubes.
Two eyepieces are included.
The included eyepieces can also be used for observation.

Using a laser alignment
Especially with RC telescopes, the axis of the focuser flange should first be correctly adjusted. The commonly used method of focusing only on the Failure to observe the center mark on the secondary mirror can lead to a deterioration in the alignment.
A laser is used for this adjustment.
With other alignment aids, you have to switch between the laser and the alignment device. However, the laser can be connected directly to the TS alignment telescope.

Using a Camera
Instead of the eyepiece, a camera can be inserted into the 1.25" connection of the TS collimating telescope. If you collimate your telescope without an eyepiece extension, i.e., with a directly screwed-on collimating telescope, a camera must always be connected to the 1.25" clamp because a shifting mechanism is required for focusing.

If you collimate with an OAZ, you can also use the T2 thread to mount the camera. Depending on the camera's flange focal distance, one of the two T2 extension rings may need to be removed.

Aligning Smaller RC Telescopes
For RC telescopes with six and eight-inch apertures, the circumferential light slit (the gap between the baffle tubes) is usually used to adjust the primary mirror. In newer telescopes, this slit is no longer visible, which is why this adjustment reference is missing. Alternatively, the holders of the secondary mirror struts can be used; However, these are difficult to see, which makes the adjustment result inaccurate. With the TS alignment telescope, you can view these holders significantly magnified and adjust the telescope with ease.

Adjusting Refractors
Thanks to the bright integrated illumination, even refractors can be easily adjusted. The ring-shaped reflections on the surfaces, which vary in color (depending on the coating) and size, can be emphasized or reduced using the sliding focus.

View through the alignment telescope into a misaligned two-lens refractor

To adjust refractors with a short focal length, it may be necessary to extend the focus adjustment range of the alignment telescope. Commercially available T2 extension tubes can be used for this.

Adjusting the alignment telescope? No!
The TS alignment telescope has no parts that can be adjusted. Therefore, checking and adjusting is not necessary.

Eyepieces for Two Magnifications
The included eyepieces can be used on the collimating telescope according to your needs, but also for observation. In principle, any eyepiece with a standard 1.25" filter thread on the body can be used in the collimating telescope. However, we cannot guarantee that every combination will produce a perfect alignment result.
