To use a T-ring, you must remove the star diagonal and/or eyepiece from your telescope. Then all you have to do is replace your camera lens with the T-ring and attach this combination to the SC thread of your telescope with the Celestron T-adapter or use a 2"/T-2 barrel if your telescope has a 2" eyepiece clamp.
Please note: This T-ring only fits EOS M-mount mirrorless cameras. It will not work with other Canon camera bodies, such as EOS RF-mount or EOS EF-mount models, without using a Canon adapter that converts those cameras to M-mount.

How is the T-ring used?
To use this T-ring, put the M-mount T-ring on your Canon mirrorless camera. Just like changing a lens, align the T-ring with your camera's lens mount. Push in and twist until you hear a click. The T-ring has a stable bayonet flange that ensures a secure fit. Once you've attached the T-ring to your camera, you're ready to connect your telescope. There are threads on the telescope side of the T-ring that accept a variety of T-2 camera adapters, including the Celestron T-adapter. Which adapter you choose depends on the type of photography you want to do.

Housing
The Canon M-Mount 42mm T-Ring is made of aluminum and black anodized. The inner surfaces are blackened and blind-threaded to achieve the highest contrast. The T-ring has a ribbed surface for a secure grip when mounting. The Canon M-Mount 42mm T-Ring is compatible with M42 x 0.75 (T-2) camera adapters.


Terrestrial and Celestial Imaging
Combine your T-ring with a Celestron T-adapter to turn your telescope or spotting scope into a large telephoto lens. Depending on the optics you own, you can combine your M-Mount T-Ring with adapters.
