The Baader MPCC coma corrector is widely used among astrophotographers. With this adapter, you can connect the Komakorrektor optimally to your Sky-Watcher Newton - without fear of tilting or tension, absolutely safe and above all with very short distances. The MPCC disappears completely in the pullout tube, except for part of its T2 external thread. This disappears in the T2 ring or similar accessories.

Connection:

• The Baader coma corrector is screwed into the M48 female thread of the FUFmpcc adapter.
• The 2" clamp is unscrewed from the Sky-Watcher extract.
• The unit adapter / Coma corrector is screwed into the pull-out internal thread.
• The T2 thread of the corrector is available for further adaptations (T2 rings for DSLR camera, filter drawer ...).

 

For which telescopes the adapter is suitable:
The adapter is suitable for all Sky-Watcher Newton and Dobsonian telescopes, which are equipped with a 2" - Crayford focuser The connection thread of the extension tube is an M54 internal thread.

The advantages of a bolted solution:

• On the normal 2" Sky-Watcher adapter, three screws press on the 2" sleeve of the coma corrector. Due to the securing groove of the corrector, tilting can easily occur. Blurred stars in the corners are the result. A bolted solution prevents this.
• Due to the metal screws the housing of the coma correctors is slightly scratched, it can even come to a tension of the lenses, if a too large contact pressure is generated. A screw, however, exerts no pressure on the corrector.
• A screw connection always guarantees a 100% fit on the optical axis.
• In the case of a plug-in solution, the unit may sometimes fall out of the 2 "sleeve of the drawer when the screws become loose, which can not happen with a bolted solution.
