In many telescopes, the focal plane is a little further out so that photographic applications are also possible. However, the problem then arises that certain eyepieces can no longer be focused.
This is just one of the tasks solved by the 2" extension sleeve.

This sleeve bridges the optical path and thus allows the focuser to be in a relatively normal position. The extension sleeve has a very high quality of workmanship. The sleeve is anodized black on the outside and has additional ribbing on the inside to prevent reflections. The extension sleeve has a screw-in thread for 2" filters at the bottom end. In addition, each extension has a locking groove, which prevents it from accidentally falling out if the clamping screw is slightly loosened. The 2" extension sleeve is clamped using a clamping ring. Tilting, even of heavy accessories, is not possible. For the "optical path", the length of the 2" insert sleeve is not taken into account, as it disappears in the 2" focuser, for example.
