The adapter allows SC accessories to be connected to telescopes and focusers with a 2" socket

♦ Connection telescope side: 2" socket with M48 filter thread

♦ Connection eyepiece side: SC thread (2" thread) outside

♦ On the telescope side, the adapter also offers a 2" filter thread (M48x0.75) for screwing in filters

The adapter enables the connection of SC accessories to 2", such as focal length reducers or off-axis guiders. If, for example, a Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope has been equipped with a 2" focuser, you need exactly this adapter to do this SC accessories can continue to be used.

The adapter has a filter screw-in thread for 2" filters. This allows you to use nebula filters or color filters to enhance contrast, for example.
 
Application tip:

In many accessories with an SC union nut, such as the visual 1.25" adapter, the SC internal thread is longer than the 5 mm long external thread of this adapter. As a result, the adapter then rotates empty and remains loose.

The metal spacer ring (SCSpacer) solves the problem. With normal connection parts, such as the f/6.3 reducer and image field corrector, you do not need the spacer ring.
