Products description
Artesky Guidescope UltraGuide MKII 60mm
A guidescope is essential for long-exposure astrophotography to continuously compensate for periodic tracking errors of the mount.
The Artesky UltraGuide MKII is a 60mm guidescope with a focal length of 240mm, providing a fast aperture ratio of f/4 – ideal as a guide scope for telescopes with medium or short focal lengths.
The 1.25" helical focuser allows you to use the UltraGuide MKII as both a high-quality finder scope and a guide scope.
It features a T2 thread for compatibility with most cameras on the market.
The helical, rotating focuser is the great strength of this guide scope, as it allows for two types of focusing:
A less precise setting for quick overview (search function) and a micro-fine adjustment for precise focusing once you have located a guide star.
The back focus provides a very comfortable focus position – both with high-quality eyepieces and with most guiding cameras on the market (e.g., QHY, ZWO, Omegon GUIDE, etc.).
Thanks to its rotating focuser, the UltraGuide MKII 60mm always maintains the correct orientation of the camera.
The camera does not rotate with the focuser, and this feature is essential for proper use with autoguiding software (such as PHD). Essential.
Included in the package are two 80mm guide scope rings and three nylon-tipped screws, as well as a short Vixen (GP-level) dovetail rail that allows connection to most common finder shoes with the standard profile.
Alternatively, you can simply attach the entire set to a dovetail clamp and mount it on any Vixen or Losmandy rail.
