Products description
Askar Focal Plane Adjuster - Tilting Adapter with 18 mm length
The adapter corrects a tilted field of view and improves image sharpness during astrophotography at the edges.
Connection on the telescope side - M54x0.75 and M48x0.75 (with adapter) - internal thread
Connection on the camera side - M48x0.75 external thread
The adapter has an overall length of 18 mm (without external thread)
Easy operation without thumbscrews and reliable clamping
The 18 mm optical path is maintained even when tilted
The adapter is light-tight
The adapter is also suitable for narrowband solar photography to prevent interference
ASKAR Deluxe Tilting Adapter for Astrophotography
Larger sensors with higher resolution sometimes show distorted stars at the edges of the field of view, even with corrected optics. The cause is a tilted field of view, meaning the sensor is not exactly perpendicular to the optical axis. This error can be corrected with a tilting adapter. Simple tilt adapters use tension and compression screws, which makes adjustments very complicated and inaccurate. Furthermore, the distance to the camera sensor changes, resulting in a loss of quality.
The ASKAR Focal Plane Adjuster uses a better system where the tilt angle is precisely adjusted without changing the relative distance to the camera sensor. This ensures the optimal distance is always maintained, and you can see the improvement in the star image almost immediately.
The ASKAR Focal Plane Adjuster is very easy to operate, using two easily accessible clamping levers. Once locked, the tilt position is reliably held. A precise scale allows you to restore the tilt position at any time.
