Artesky filter holder and T2 adaption for Canon EOS lenses
Use your high-quality Canon EOS camera lens and image large areas of the sky, for example. The astro camera replaces the reflex camera. This adapter establishes the connection and opens up completely new possibilities for you.

♦ Create L-RGB color images with monochrome cameras of large regions of the sky and depict large-area nebulae or entire parts of our Milky Way.

♦ Use 2" nebula filters with your astro camera and thus increase the contrast. Impressive sky images are possible even from the vicinity of cities.

♦ Connect your astro camera with the Canon EOS lens to the telescope or to compact guiding platforms such as the Star Adventurer. This allows you to expose for as long as you like. Suitable adaptations can be found in the accessories section.

♦ Mount your astro camera with the Canon EOS EF lens on a photo tripod and take impressive night shots with beautiful foreground subjects.

The ART8172 is suitable for all cameras with a T2 connection and a maximum working distance of 17.5 mm.
The working distance is the distance from the T2 thread connection to the sensor. Cameras with a working distance of 17.5 mm can be connected directly. Focusing is done normally via the lens. Examples of suitable cameras are:

♦ ZWO ASI cooled cameras (Cooled and Pro Version)
♦ ATIK CMOS and CCD cameras (Horizon, such as Horizon)
♦ Touptek cameras
♦ QHY cameras
♦ Altair Astro CMOS cameras

For cameras with shorter working distances, such as uncooled astro cameras from ZWO, we offer T2 spacer rings with which the correct distance can be established.

Connection to photo tripods, mounts and telescopes:
At the base of the adapter is a stable top plate with a 1/4" female photo thread.

♦ This allows you to attach the combination directly to your photo tripod.
♦ Many tracking platforms, such as the Skytracker from iOptron or the Star Adventurer from Skywatcher, already have a 1/4" connection. For other mounts we offer a Vixen/EQ5 style dovetail bar (item no. PSFotoDel).
♦ The camera mount for the finder shoe, item no. SuKaHa. The adapter fits into the finder shoe of most telescopes. Of course, we also offer another finder shoe for self-adaptations.
