Off axis guider
The Off-Axis Guider is an important accessory for astrophotography at long focal lengths as it allows for the highest tracking accuracy. Celestron's off-axis guider uses a prism to deflect a small portion of the light out of the telescope's image plane (and out of the main camera's field of view), allowing you to track a guide star. Every movement of this star corresponds exactly to the movements that the main camera also sees. For example, an autoguider can compensate for tracking errors without being disturbed by additional sources of error such as deflection or twisting of the guide tube. The result: needle-sharp stars.

Off-axis guiders are not a new invention, but they typically have three problems:

Finding a sufficiently bright guide star at the edge of the image field can be problematic since the image section is rather small.
Getting the recording and guiding camera in focus at the same time can be time consuming and requires practice.
Additional adapters and spacer rings may be required to adapt the camera and telescope, which increases costs and effort.
Celestron's Off-Axis Guider solves the problems as follows:

The large 12.5mm prism can be shifted towards the center of the image, depending on the sensor size of your camera. This allows for brighter guide stars and better illumination of the autoguider sensor
The high-quality helical focuser with fixed image orientation enables the autoguider to focus very evenly and precisely without changing its orientation.
It comes with all the necessary adapters and spacers for most configurations, including DSLR cameras, Nightscape CCD cameras and others. These adapters are included: SCT/EdgeHD, M48 (female), T2 (female), M48 (male), T2 (male), 3 spacer rings with T2 thread
