Celestron Universal Piggyback Camera Mount for Schmidt-Cassegrain and EdgeHD Telescopes

The Celestron piggyback camera mount is recommended for everyone who wants to do deep-sky photography. It allows you to piggyback your camera and lens onto the telescope. This way you can take pictures with a telephoto or wide-angle lens and use your telescope for tracking control.

Be careful not to overload your mount by the additional weight of the camera. For longer exposures, you should set up the telescope equatorial, using a polar wedge to prevent image field rotation.

The piggyback camera mount fits the mirror cell of all Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes (5, 6, 8, 9.25, 11 and 14 inch), including the EdgeHD models.

On NexStar SE models, the design allows you to mount the telescope´s StarPointer red dot finder in parallel - thus allowing you to align your telescope without removing the camera.
