TS Practical Tip: Transporting Mounts

When transporting a mount, always loosen the right ascension and declination clamps. This prevents force from being transferred through the axes to the worm gear and worm wheel. Especially with clamped mounts, impacts can cause small indentations in the soft worm wheel, resulting in reduced tracking accuracy. Furthermore, this protects the bearings of the axes.
