Die Beschreibung des Herstellers:

Innovative special binocular device with "erect image" & "zero optical path length required". By incorporating an erecting system equal magnification relay lens group of 5 groups and 7 lenses, binocular vision can be performed with an erect image without changing the magnification, and at the same time the additional optical path length becomes zero, so that without using extenders etc. together focusing is possible with all telescopes. Adopting a precisely polished knife edge optical path splitting mirror instead of an ordinary beam splitter prism for the optical path splitting optical system. As a result, the difference in color tone between the left and right and the difference in lightness are small, furthermore, there is no occurrence of various aberrations due to use of the prism and no contrast reduction, very clear binocular image can be obtained. As well as observing the moon and planet at high magnification, it is possible to use the reducer together, so you can enjoy the nebula cluster observation with low magnification which was difficult with the conventional binocular device. Please try to realize a new world of binocular vision with innovative binoculars that distinguish existing products.

Product concept

Although the binocular device is a convenient item, existing products require a very large telescope with a required optical path length of 100 mm or more, so there are few telescopes that can obtain focus as it is, mostly by using extender lenses together to obtain focus As a result, it was the biggest problem that it was difficult to produce low magnification. In addition, the use of a beam splitter prism in the optical path splitting optical system causes the occurrence of difference in color tone between the right and left, the reduction in contrast, the occurrence of various aberrations due to the passage of light through the long prism, etc. There were also various problems. The ELS erect binocular device is a binocular device of innovative design developed to solve all these problems at once.

Erect image

5 groups seven erecting system magnification relay lens group (Erecting Lens S by incorporating system) there in, erect image obtained without changing the magnification. An excellent lens group that was optimized and designed to faithfully relay the focus image of a telescope without causing extra aberrations such as chromatic aberration, spherical aberration, coma aberration, astigmatism, curvature of field, etc., which would cause image degradation powered by. Of course, the whole surface of each element is covered with broadband and multi-coat, and light loss is also small.

Required optical path length of zero

The light flux that passed through the relay lens group connects the second focal point to the rear end of the left and right eyepiece holders, so the necessary optical path length becomes substantially zero. By doing this, it is possible to focus on all telescopes in that state. As with conventional binoculars, you will not be bothered by unintentional high magnification due to the combined use of extender lenses. In addition, since the position of the first focal point is close to the tip of the barrel, it is possible to use the reducer and the barlow lens in the same sense as the ordinary eyepiece alone, and the degree of freedom of the magnification selection broadens widely. Especially low magnification by combined use of reducer is great merit, it demonstrates its power in the nebula cluster observation.

Knife edge light path splitting mirror

The optical path splitting optical system which is the essential part of the binocular device adopts a knife edge optical path splitting mirror instead of a normal beam splitter prism. A deep electric coating with a reflectance of 99% is applied to the outer surface of the knife edge right angle prism which is polished extremely highly precisely. Since the main light flux is split and reflected equally to the left and right, the left and right color tone difference which tends to occur in the conventional beam splitter, the brightness difference, the decrease in the contrast etc. are also small and a very clear image which does not impair the original image quality is You will get. In addition, we adopted deeply coated high precision plane mirror for elements that bend right and left light flux at right angle. By not using any kind of prisms in all light paths, there is no concern of spherical aberration, chromatic aberration, loss of light quantity etc generated when light flux passes through a long prism.

Field diameter & low magnification observation

The only problem with erecting system magnification relay lens is the limitation on the field diameter at the second focal plane. In the case of this product, the effective field diameter is φ17.4 mm, which is slightly smaller than the usual binocular device (φ22 mm), and vignetting occurs around the visual field with the long focus / wide field eyepiece. In terms of a rough calculation formula, vignetting occurs in the eyepiece with focal length (mm) × apparent view (degree) = about 1,000 or more, and if it is less than that, the whole field of view can be used. A specific example with our eyepiece is the upper limit of usable per EF - 16 mm / 60 ° (16 x 60 = 960) and PL - 20 mm / 50 ° (20 x 50 = 1,000), for example.

"What, may not it be possible to obtain a sufficiently low magnification wide field of view?", But worrying is useless. As an option to solve this problem, a special 0.66 × reducer (sold separately) is prepared. By mounting it, for example, substantially the same magnification and real field as when using the eyepiece "24 mm / 60 °" for EF - 16 mm / 60 ° and "30 mm / 50 °" for PL - 20 mm / 50

As a binocular device, it is possible to secure sufficiently low magnification and wide field of view as necessary. In addition, even when used with a reducer, since the required optical path length is only 18 mm, focusing is possible with almost all telescopes.

High magnification observation

Since this product can obtain focus without any extender lens in all telescopes, we will use a rather short focus eyepiece at high magnification observation. However, the short focus eyepiece severely holds when using binoculars, and the left and right optical axes tend to be slightly out of order due to a slight difference in insertion and insertion.

This product can be used in combination with all the Barlow lenses with "enlargement" magnification ratio. For high magnification observation, we strongly recommend not a short focus eyepiece, but a combination of "Barrow lens × 1 + medium focus eyepiece × 2" strongly. Since the medium focal eyepiece has a wider tolerance range for shaft holding, stable binocular viewing becomes possible, and the eye relief becomes longer, which makes it easy to peep.

Use for Newton system

This product is an ideal binocular device for Newtonian telescope. The Newton equation usually has a short back focus, and as it is an existing binocular device, focus can not be obtained as it is, so it will be used together with a high magnification extender lens, and as a result observations at low magnification are physically It was impossible. However, with this product, since the required optical path length is zero, almost 100% Newtonian telescope enables reliable focusing, comfortable erect image, high magnification moon planet with low magnification You can fully enjoy until the observation.

Refractive & Cassegrain use

Even when this product is used for a refraction or Cassegrain telescope, certain focusing can be obtained without additional optical path length, and an erect image can be obtained if viewed directly. However, when using a zenith mirror or a zenith prism for aerial observation, it becomes a somewhat strange "inverted posterior figure".

To solve this problem clearly, we strongly recommend using penta prism together. If the model has some allowance for back focus, 31.7 mm pentaprism can be used together with 31, 7 mm half pentaprism if there is no room , even with refraction or Cassegrain telescope, comfortable erect image Aerial observation becomes possible.

Parts Specifications & Accessories

The main part of the casing is made of metal by CNC cutting & anodizing. Rotary tightening type with collect chuck is adopted as eyepiece adapter. Since the barrel of the eyepiece is evenly tightened from the surroundings, it is possible to fix very firmly and to maintain a reliable centering state all the time. The right eye side is equipped with a diopter adjusting mechanism by a rotating helicoid. Eye width adjustment is done by sliding the eyepiece adapter unit to the left and right, adjustable in the range of 58 mm to 74 mm. The eyepiece mounting barrel adopts a slip resistant tapered type, and the tip is also equipped with a 31.7 mm filter screw. A large-sized hard carrying case with sufficient capacity is also included as standard, and eyepiece and prisms can be stored together in addition to the binocular device itself.

Comprehensive suitability

Among numerous binocular devices, the ELS erect binocular device is unique and unique. A 100% telescope enables reliable focusing, low magnification can also be used, and an erect image can be obtained ... The problem of existing binocular device has been solved at once. This product gives the user a fresh surprise It will give. As a universal binocular device capable of fully covering observations and observations in various situations, from the observation of the nebula cluster at low magnification to the lunar planet observation at high magnification, or ground observation using the erect image, all telescopes It is a "revolutionary" product that we would like to recommend equally to the owner.

Lieber Herr Kloss,
