Steeltrail - ball bearings made of stainless steel
The Omegon Steeltrail pull-out, on the other hand, is made of hard stainless steel in the important places. The V2A ball bearings run along stainless steel strips - the eyepiece focuser achieves significantly improved accuracy. Even high loads over a long period of time are a small matter for the focuser. Thanks to the ball bearings, it does not tip over and guarantees consistent quality even after years.

1:10 reduction - focus objects precisely
At high magnifications or in astrophotography, it is difficult to get the exact point of focus. But this is possible with a 1:10 fine reduction. As soon as you turn the easy-grip stainless steel wheel, the 2" tube moves by tenths of a millimeter. Half a turn of the focus wheel means a focus path of around one millimeter.

High load capacity up to 5kg
A particular advantage of the focuser is its high load capacity, as it can even carry heavy eyepieces and cameras. The extension can move freely without clamps, because thanks to the particularly good workmanship, the 2" tube does not slip, but remains firmly in position.

Easy adaptation to a Newton telescope from Omegon or Skywatcher

You can connect your focuser directly to an Omegon Advanced telescope without any modification. A 78mm dovetail ring is used for this purpose, which can be attached to the existing adapter of the focuser.

However, many amateur astronomers own a Skywatcher telescope and want to upgrade it. Does that work too? So far they had one problem: There were no suitable adapters that matched Skywatcher's hole size. But with our optional Omegon adapter you can prepare your extension for your Skywatcher telescope in 3 minutes. This means that the focuser can be adapted to both Omegon and Skywatcher telescopes.
