With the flatfield eyepieces you come very close to this ideal. The flatfield eyepieces have an integrated ED lens element for particularly high color purity. Thanks to their optical design, these eyepieces offer extremely high contrast and sharpness performance, which is far above the usual level.

Large fields of view
With a field of view of 60° to 65°, these eyepieces belong to the category of wide-angle eyepieces. Classic tunnel vision eyepieces are increasingly being put into the drawer. Compared to the well-known Plössl eyepieces, the ED Flat eyepieces have around 20% larger fields of view.

The eyepiece body combines up to six lens elements to form a very high-quality eyepiece. All glass/air surfaces are provided with a multi-coating that counteracts unwanted reflections and ensures high brilliance and transparency. In practice, you can therefore expect exceptionally good contrast when observing planets and deep-sky objects.

Between the eye and the eyepiece
The viewing behavior of these eyepieces is particularly pleasant. Even if the optical axis is not maintained exactly, there are no shadows. The eyepieces are available in focal lengths 25 / 19 / 15.5 / 10.5 and 5.5mm. All focal lengths have large eye lens diameters, so relaxed observations are possible even at high magnifications. People who wear glasses can also observe through the eyepiece, because with 16mm eye relief, the entire field of vision can be seen with glasses. The eyepieces can be easily used with most telescopes. Even with a Newtonian telescope with a large aperture ratio f/5, the edge of the field of view appears almost sharp.
