BAADER 2" H-Alpha Pass Filter - 7nm - for the photography of nebulas with the highest contrast Narrowband H-Alpha filter for CCD photography. The filter offers an extreme contrast. It succeeds very good deep sky shots, even in the middle of the big city.
In combination with the Baader O-III CCD filter and the SU-II filter, impressive false-color shots are possible, even from the big city. See "Testimonials" for an impressive example:
Perfect Deep Sky shots by fast-acting Fraunhofer refractors
High-intensity Fraunhofer refractors are generally not suitable for astrophotography. The strong color error increases the diameter of the stars extremely and thus worsens the picture. The stars are bloated, as if you have not set decent.
With the H-alpha pass filter from Baader, the stars remain nickel points, because not only the annoying stray light of the big cities is completely hidden, but also the color error of the device. Just give it a try, you'll be surprised.
Of course, this only applies to b / w recordings or for the red channel in RGB recordings.
