The Baader SkySurfer 3 was developed for astronomical applications and is not just a rebuilt pointer.

• Free opening 30mm for a larger field
• Long dewlaps in front of and behind the lenses to prevent fogging
• The 1:1 objective lens is anti-reflective and darkens the sky less than with comparable viewfinders
• The red luminous dot is adjustable in brightness
• Two-piece housing serves as a sun seeker

A good red dot finder can more than replace 6x30 viewfinders and is also a good complement to large optical viewfinders. The orientation in the sky is particularly easy. The Baader Skysurfer III is characterized by additional features:

• Larger free opening of 30 mm, in contrast to the 20 mm from the Starpointer
• Replacement caps on both ends to prevent fogging
• The red dot is dimmable
• Reflective reduction, the night sky is hardly reduced in brightness
• The two-part housing serves as a sun finder. If the shadow of the front part falls completely on the back, the sun is centered
• Can be used on almost any telescope thanks to the versatile adapters included in the delivery
• Can even be used as a DSLR viewfinder with the optional adapter (see accessory recommendations)
