The viewfinder holder is solidly made of aluminum - the quality will be consistent for years and, in contrast to plastic, the viewfinder holder is resistant even to prolonged exposure to the sun. It fits into all standard finder shoes and has counterparts on the top with 2 knurled screws each for secure attachment.
