Height storage The height of the GSO Dobson:

A new, more effective solution has been found for the high-altitude storage.

A stable steel axle carries the entire tube weight. The adjustment takes place via two CNC machined surfaces - precisely and without lateral slipping.

In addition, you can adjust the resistance via a large knurled screw on each side - from ultimate to high resistance. This prevents you from surrendering the unit, for example, during high wind loads.

Adjustment of the balance:

You can precisely adjust the balance of the dobson. For example, Instead of the 8x50 viewfinder you can use a light-colored viewfinder or if you want to use a heavy Bino attachment on the eyepiece ... No problem - just adjust the position of the elevation wheel to the Rockerbox - accurate scaling ensures that it is the same position on each side to have.


Roller bearing The roller bearing for horizontal adjustment:

A simple Teflon bearing, as used by the manufacturer earlier, causes too much adjustment. When the telescope is directed towards the zenith, the lever is so unfavorable that a fine adjustment is almost impossible.

The modern industrial roller bearing allows a very sensitive adjustment. Above and below the bearing are metal plates, which prevent the rollers from pressing into the soft laminate. This keeps the adjustment even after many years.
