Newton optics with 305mm parabolic primary mirror

2.5" HEX focuser with rack and pinion drive
Very light GRP telescopic tube - easy to transport
Large elevation wheels and AZ needle bearings for smooth movement
9-point mirror cell for optimal optical performance
Tube with tube clamps - this also enables use on equatorial mounts
Rocker box with metal furniture connectors can be disassembled or assembled in just a few minutes
Diffraction-limited optics: Strehl >0.8
Lens solar filter included
Telescope for night and solar observation

The new BRESSER Messier 12" Dobsonian now expands this popular telescope series and is also easy to transport thanks to the lightweight GRP telescope tube.

Despite the low price, it offers a variety of functions and quality that you might not find in much more expensive devices. Thanks to the powerful telescope opening of now 305mm, you get significantly more light gathering capacity than the smaller models and are therefore not limited to observing the moon and the planets of our solar system - you can look far out into the universe and see globular star clusters, nebulae and galaxies observe a further increased brightness. Details in most deep sky objects become visible: globular star clusters are clearly broken down into individual stars and gas nebulae, which can only be glimpsed with smaller devices, show structure.
The device is unsurpassedly versatile: The excellent large Hexafoc eyepiece focuser has an opening of 65 mm - so even with large wide-field eyepieces, no shadowing is noticeable due to the eyepiece focuser tube.

Thanks to the large elevation wheels, even these heavier eyepieces can be held without any problems - and if a lot of accessories are attached, such as a binocular attachment, then the entire tube can be moved in the tube clamps - and everything is balanced again in a flash. The unsurpassed rigidity of the focuser makes focusing easy - so photography with this tube is no problem.
This shows another strength of this universal telescope: if you want to take photos, you can simply unscrew the elevation wheels from the tube and place them on an equatorial mount with a dovetail rail - and then nothing stands in the way of astrophotography. For the highest demands, an optional 10:1 gear reduction for the focuser is available. Considering that the focuser is the most commonly used telescope part, the use of the Hexafoc in this device is a quantum leap for this price range.
With the initial equipment you can observe immediately - a 6x30 viewfinder and a 25 mm SPL eyepiece are included with the device. With the 2 new hybrid viewfinder shoes (item 0620158) included as standard, various other types of viewfinders can also be retrofitted.

If you want to transport the device as compactly as possible, it's easy with the new 12" BRESSER Messier - the rocker box can be dismantled in just a few steps because the parts are assembled with quick metal connectors. This quickly turns a bulky rocker box into a handy, flat package individual parts.
A telescope whose versatility, performance and ease of use set new standards in this price range.
Includes a high-quality lens solar filter for safe observation of sunspots, eclipses and planetary transits.

A high quality telescope for night and solar observation.
NOTE: Please note that “Newton” reflecting telescopes are very good for astronomical observations of the starry sky, but are not well suited for daytime nature and landscape observations. We therefore recommend BRESSER lens telescopes for nature and landscape observations.
