The Nadirus project is the result of collaboration with reliable partners and the special support of Amadori Studio Design (www.amadoridesign.com).
Every part of this Dobsonian was designed and constructed with various technical and practical aspects in mind. With an extremely curved design, we offer an excellent instrument, made in Italy in the best Italian style. The quality of the materials is the best on the market, and the technical solutions make it absolutely unique.
The graphic motif that characterizes the NADIRUS Dobsonian is the design of the wheel, located at the intersection of six circles of different diameters and some correspondingly rounded corners that surround the profile. These curves are repeated on the body of the base to brighten up the visual effect.
Even the base of the rotating system has been brightened with a unique pattern reminiscent of the blades of a fan. Attention to design, technology, and mechanics in the name of practicality was the dominant theme of this project.
We chose a laminated beechwood structure, which ensures stability and light weight. Particular attention was paid to the upper cylindrical housing, which houses the secondary mirror holder spider. This is made of crossed birch plywood beams, giving the piece unique strength and stability. The primary mirror cell, on the other hand, is made of birch plywood with a support system in which the 9-point suspended mirror rests on natural cork foam discs.
The entire structure is varnished for outdoor use.
It is also the only wooden structure available without a mirror and focuser. You can find it in the "Dobson Mounting Kit" section, code 10A004.
