APM - Telescope APO FPL 53 Refractor 115/805 2.5" ZTA



The APM 3-lens SuperED FPL 53 in the new, cheaper special package with 2.5" APM focuser.


Our 115mm system (4.5") with a focal length of 805mm (f/7.0) is just a tad heavier than the 105 Apo, but still perfectly transportable. Here too, an optic from the APM SuperED FPL 53 APO series is used used, which is very harmoniously coordinated in terms of visual and photographic application.

10mm more opening doesn't sound like much, but it does mean an increased limit size and improved resolution, e.g. on a double star. The light collecting area is already approx. 30% larger than with a 100mm optic!

The focal length of approx. 800mm is very universally chosen, with our 0.75x Riccardi reducer a CCD-friendly focal length of approx. 600mm can be achieved. If you love planetary details, there are high-quality Barlow systems to choose from; solar observation is also a pleasure with the appropriate accessories. Here too, the Apo shows its true class in terms of definition and contrast.

The device comes standard with a 2.5" ZTA focuser (1:10 micro-reduced, 360° rotatable) as well as viewfinder shoe, Vixen-level mounting rail and 2" - 1.25" connection adapter. The system is "ready to work". M63 and M68 Internal threads are also available.

With a final weight of 7.6kg, nothing stands in the way of the Astro Safari!
