TS 110mm f6-f660mm apo with 2 element lens
With its fast aperture ratio of f/6, the Apo is faster than simple EDs, which usually have f/7 to f/9. In order to still achieve good color correction, the ED special glass was supplemented by another special glass (lanthanum glass). This achieves a correction equivalent to a normal f/7 to f/8 ED refractor. The high light intensity also offers advantages for astrophotography; you can expose an object in just one night. You can find suitable image field correctors in the accessories section.
All lens surfaces are coated with a multi-coating for maximum light throughput. Apertures inside the optical tube and in the focuser prevent reflections and ensure sharp, high-contrast images.
The TS 110 mm apo has a high-quality 2.7" pinion focuser with ball bearings. This guarantees sensitive and precise focusing even with heavy accessories. The focuser accepts 2" and 1.25" accessories. You can also use 2" diagonal mirrors and common image field correctors.
The extensive equipment is complemented by sturdy CNC pipe clamps and a sturdy transport and storage case.

A carbon tube not only saves a lot of weight, it is also very stiff and durable. When the telescope has cooled down, it needs to be refocused less often because carbon does not react as strongly to temperature fluctuations as metal. Stars become sharper because the focus position is held better in astrophotography.
Astrophotography with the TS 110mm f/6 Apo
The bright apochromat is very suitable for astrophotography. The robust 2.7" RAP focuser also supports heavy cameras, offers 360° rotation and has a micro reduction for precise focusing. We particularly recommend the following correctors:
TSFLAT25G2 - 1.0x full format correctorThe professional corrector is designed for full format. The M74-TSFLAT25 transition adapter (adapted to M68x1 internal thread) is required for connection to the Apo. This allows you to screw the corrector directly to the focuser.
For the correct working distance (55 mm from the M48 thread) a 5 mm long M68x1 extension sleeve # TSVM685 is required.
TSRED379 - 0.79x focal length reduction
We offer a focal length reduction with field correction to all astrophotographers for whom f/6 is not fast enough. The focal ratio improves to f/4.74. The M74-TSFLAT25 transition adapter is required for connection to the Apo. This allows you to screw the corrector directly to the focuser.
In order to achieve the correct working distance of 55 mm from the M48 thread, you still need 2x M48 tuning rings with 1 mm thickness # M48 tuning ring1.
