The reason is a sophisticated optical design with Premium ED glass for a crystal clear image. Compared to most mirror systems, the better defined optics allow you to see more and finer details when observing planets, for example. The lens elements have been provided with an effective multi-coating against reflections on all surfaces. Look forward to observations and images that will remain in your memory.

Almost a real space miracle is the 3" cogwheel focuser, because it is large enough, no shadowing occurs. An ingenious hybrid technique of Crayford and cogwheel makes it particularly powerful and suitable for accessories up to 6kg. In addition, it can be focused silky-smooth via the ball bearings, so that you can easily find the perfect focus. A 1:10 reduction for the finest corrections rounds off this focuser. Exactly these features are appreciated by astrophotographers all over the world. The focuser has a standard 2" connection with a reduction to 1¼". This allows you to connect all accessories from our range, such as eyepieces and adapters.

The tube of the Omegon Apo consists of a CNC machined metal construction with a sophisticated aperture system against reflections. The complete tube has been lined with a velvet-like black fabric. The dew cap of the Apo can be pulled out and fixed with a screw. It can be retracted for transport.
