TSAPO81Q TS ImagingStar 80mm f / 4.4 - 6-element Flatfield APO telescope for APS-C sensors

TS Imaging Star 80 mm f / 4.4 - 6-element flatfield apo telescope

Lightweight 80 mm apochromate - f / 4,4 with 352 mm focal length - flat image field with built-in 3-element corrector.
♦ FPL53 triplet lens with air gap for a color-pure image.

♦ 3-element corrector for very good field correction.

♦ Built-in tilting mechanism for the best possible correction of the stars in the entire field.

♦ The camera is completely screwed.

♦ Newly designed 2.5 "telescopic eyepiece extension with high stiffness.

♦ Long working distance of 68 mm from the M48 connection thread.

IMAGING STAR Apo refractor telescopes from Telescope Service have been developed for the dedicated astrophotograph. Lens and corrector are optimally matched for best results on the axis and in the field. This 80mm ImagingStar Apo offers an enormous light intensity with f / 4.4. In a direct comparison to an apochromat with f / 6 you reach with this Apo the same saturation with approximately only half the exposure time.

The Apo offers a well-corrected and illuminated image field with a diameter of approx. 42 mm. Due to the moderate exposure times, the noise can be kept very low, which benefits especially owners of uncooled DSLR cameras. The apo is, of course, also suitable for CCD cameras.

The advantages and product features of the TS Imaging Star 80 mm Apos:

♦ 80 mm opening - light f / 4.4
♦ triplet lens with FPL53 from Ohara (Japan) for an image free of color aberrations
♦ Newly designed 2.5 "gear extension with 1: 10 mounting for direct screwing of the camera
♦ Correctly corrected and illuminated image field with a diameter of 42 mm
♦ 360 ° rotation for optimal positioning of the object on the chip
♦ CNC pipe clamps for optimum attachment
♦ Sturdy aluminum case for transport and storage with space for accessories
♦ Push-in dew cap - length for transport only 400 mm

The TS Imaging Star is an extreme telescope:

It is a technical challenge to construct an apo with an aperture of 80 mm with this extreme light intensity of f / 4.4 and to provide an additional 42 mm field of view for the astrophotograph. Especially because of the extreme light intensity we see from a clamping, because by the clamping can always a slight tilting into the system, which then distorts the stars at the edge. Conclusion: Only a complete screw connection has meaning. In addition, we have installed a device for a better field correction

Tilting - to get even better edge stars. A tilting device at the end of the eyepiece allows you to achieve an even better field correction. Minimal tipping, also of the camera sensor, already have an effect on the image in this extreme telescope. With the three traction screws and the three thrust screws at the telescopic end, you can achieve an individual fine adjustment for a truly outstanding star sharpness from one end of the sensor to the other.

Connecting the camera to the telescope:
The camera is connected using the M48x0.75 thread or the M68 thread. The distance from the M48 thread to the camera sensor is exactly 68 mm. So you have enough space for individual adaptations and for all commercial cameras.

The 2.5 "
The newly designed 2-5 "R & P eyepiece lens holds even heavy cameras without tilting, which has been specially designed for the use of the camera, with the help of a toothed rack with no shifting, the knurled screw at the base blocks the adjustment You can also hold the position of the pull-out tube by means of a knurled screw on the upper side.

The eyepiece pullout takes the 3-element corrector and has an M68x1-Zeiss-level connection thread on the camera side. The reduction to M48 and the M48 tilting device - all of course, of course, completely screwed.

Two additional adapters are necessary for the visual observation with the Apo.

♦ The TSIS-M48 splittable adapter
♦ The adapter and zenith mirror TSIS-ZS1

This gives you a short-term adaptation for 1.25 "eyepieces and 90 ° viewing for observation.
