Products description

Vaonis apochromatic refractor AP 80/400 STELLINA

The Vaonis STELLINA Smart Telescope enables the observation of the moon, galaxies, nebulae and comets - completely automatically and conveniently from a smartphone or tablet.

With a conventional telescope, faint deep sky objects can only be perceived as shadowy clouds of light. The widespread light pollution of towns and cities makes this even more frustrating. The naked eye is not enough to see more details and astrophotographic long exposures are necessary. Stellina now shows you these details and colors more easily than ever before, because the smart telescope is a fully automatic astrophotography setup.

Not everyone can invest the time to select and assemble the right astrophotography setup, to master the operation of all components including the mount and camera, to align the telescope exactly, and then to edit the pictures for days afterwards. STELLINA does all of this at the push of a button. Enjoy the observation of deep sky objects without tedious months of familiarization.

Connect your tablet or smartphone to STELLINA via a WLAN hotspot. A free app for Android and iOS gives you location-based observation recommendations. Simply select an observation target from the object list and lean back.

Auto-alignment: The telescope is capable of offline plate solving. It calculates the exact coordinates of the current orientation based on the stars visible to the integrated camera. A cumbersome star alignment is no longer necessary!

Auto-Focusing: High-quality stepper motors keep the observation target stable in view despite the earth's rotation, automatically focus on the stars and rotate the camera sensor to compensate for the azimuthal field rotation. Stellina never loses sight of the target.

Live stacking: As soon as the STELLINA is fixed on a target, exposures are collected. The optimal camera parameters are automatically selected depending on the observation target. The individual exposures are processed independently by the integrated computer and presented live on your tablet or smartphone. With a little patience, breathtaking observations are now possible, because the more exposures the telescope collects, the clearer and more detailed the picture becomes. Track the progress of this live stacking in real time and share the experience with up to ten simultaneously connected devices of your friends and family.

STELLINA combines innovative control with high-quality high-tech:

The apochromatic 80 mm ED Duplet lens made of lanthanum glass puts many professional telescopes in the shade and, unlike other telescope designs, does not require regular collimation.
The highly sensitive Sony Exmor Starvis IMX178 sensor with 6 megapixel resolution (3096 x 2080) is the sensor of choice for many established astro camera manufacturers.
An integrated light pollution filter (CLS) enables observation from the city as well.
Temperature and humidity sensors as well as anti-thaw heating keep the front lens free of dew.
Thanks to the waterproof housing (IP53), you do not have to be afraid of a sudden change in the weather.
A high-quality carbon tripod carries STELLINA safely and stably. You can also install the telescope on the tripod of your choice using the standardized 3/8 "photo thread.
In contrast to conventional astrophotography telescopes, the STELLINA is very easy to transport thanks to its compact size and light weight of 12 kg.
The telescope is powered via USB-C. The included power bank (10,000 mAh) is hidden in a discrete battery compartment and lasts for about 5 hours of operation. Alternatively, you can use your own power bank with higher capacity or a standard smartphone charger for power supply.
