The new APM 140 f / 7 convinces with its high performance. We have now succeeded in developing this 2nd telescope with a high-quality optics and a solid tube at a previously impossible price. The new 140 mm - 980 mm ED has a doublet optic with ED glass, one lens of FPL-53 to achieve maximum performance. This new innovative combination results in an optical performance that is far above the usual in this price category. In order to guarantee the typical high quality of APM telescopes, each optics passes through an interferometric test at 532nm (green) before shipment.

With its focal length of 980 mm, the 140 mm - 980 mm ED is a true all-rounder. From the observation of crowded double stars with high contrast to detailed planet observations, this unit introduces a new group of enthusiasts into APM quality. Moreover, this new Apo is only 8.8 kg very light and can be used on compact mountings.

The well-known APM quality has proved itself in all areas. The new 2.5 "eyepiece with rack and pinion drive and 1:10 support remains stable even at high loads and is therefore also suitable for photography. The attention to detail can also be found in the enclosed 2" to 1.25 "eyepiece adapter, the A completely new design that comprehensively clamps the eyepiece and thus works much better than conventional adapters with a simple brass clamping ring and screw.
Of course, you can also use a Starlight Instruments Feather Touch (model FTF3035B-A), which is why the tube end has a M109 and M95 thread to accommodate 3 "and 2.5" Feathertouch focussers.

As an optional photo accessory for the 140 f / 7, we can supply you with a 2.5 "image focal plane which retains the focal length (Order No. TSFlat2,5), or the special Reducer developed by Massimo Riccardi 0.75 is shortened, resulting in 735 mm focal length at aperture f / 5.25.

With the new 140 mm 980 mm ED we will be able to offer you an apochromatic refractor of incomparable performance at an incredible price.
