For better quality photos: The large 140mm triplet with two ED lenses
What is it that keeps astrophotographers motivated? The desire to depict objects and the sky in high image quality. This is possible with this apochromat. The carefully selected ED glass and a pure color image lead to observations with fine details that would not be possible with simple optics. Convince yourself of a new quality standard.
The advantages at a glance:
140 mm triplet ED APO with two ED lenses with extremely good correction for a pure color image with good contrast
Retractable dew cap for easy transport
4" eyepiece focuser with 1:10 reduction: Even larger and heavier cameras can be focused easily and with high precision.
Camera rotates 360° so you can find the right orientation
Vixen-type finder shoe so you can easily mount any finder scope
Why this optic shows more details
No more contrastless images. The Apochromat shows what is really possible: pure-color and high-contrast observations and astrophotos. The reason is a well thought-out optical design with premium ED glass for a crystal-clear image. Compared to most mirror systems, the better-defined optics allow you to see more and finer details when observing planets, for example. The lens elements have been provided with an effective multi-coating against reflections on all surfaces. Look forward to observations and recordings that will remain in your memory.
CNC tube for one of the best optics
The tube of the Omegon Apo consists of a CNC-machined metal construction with a sophisticated anti-reflection system. The entire tube was lined with a velvet-like, black fabric.
