The Omegon 140mm Apochromat is a telescope for astrophotographers and visual observers looking for the highest image quality and a large instrument.
Thanks to the size of the optics, it collects a lot of light and is ideal for small observatories or amateur astronomers with a fixed location. If you are not afraid of some larger equipment, then this telescope can also give you wonderful astrophotos in areas with little light pollution. The higher resolution also makes this telescope an expert for close binary stars. Visual deep sky observations with high contrast are also particularly successful with the 140 f/6.5.
The triplet lens is particularly sharp and uses the high-quality FCD100 ED glass manufactured by Hoya in Japan with extremely low color deviation, which enables razor-sharp planetary observations and impressive astrophotos.

Made for perfect astrophotos
The apochromat has arrived in modern times because the imaging from this telescope is nothing less than outstanding. The ED triplet apo lens with air gap ensures particularly high-contrast and pure-color images. At the heart of your astrophotography machine is the FCD-100 glass from Hoya from Japan, which is known for its low color deviation. You can also treat nebulae and planets to very high magnification: the images will remain clear and sharp.

More about FCD-100:
Thanks to technological innovation, Hoya has successfully optimized the mass production of FCD-100. An optical glass with extremely low dispersion, which even comes close to fluorite. By combining it with an optical glass with a high refractive index, it has been possible to achieve a previously unattainable innovative chromatic aberration correction.

 

3.5" focuser for full-format sensors

With this huge focuser, all your problems will be a thing of the past - at least those relating to the illumination of your camera. Because you can use any camera from APS-C to full format and get perfect results thanks to the interaction of the lens and focuser.
The focuser works based on a hybrid technology consisting of a rack (oblique grooves) and ball bearings. This means: The focus can be adjusted as smoothly and precisely as possible, but the load capacity and stability are high. Now you can even attach heavy cameras and equipment weighing up to 10kg.

M63 thread connection (inside): In addition to the classic 2-inch (with 1.25-inch reducing adapter) connection for eyepieces and cameras, this instrument also offers a 63mm thread so that you can easily and stably fix a flattener or reducer.

The handle with double use
Simply clever: With the practical carrying handle, you always have your Apo safely in your hand. Whether during transport or when installing on the mount. The handle also serves as a mounting rail for accessories attached in parallel. So everything has its place: For example, use a guiding scope and guiding camera.
