TS 140mm FDC100 Triplet APO lens from Japan
The pure-color Apo from the Photoline series impresses with its pure-color image and solid mechanics. The Apo is suitable for observation and astrophotography. The 0.92x image field corrector was developed especially for astrophotography.
 
The optics achieve a high level of imaging
Apo shows you moon craters or planets without color defects with a contrast that only a refractor can achieve. But even bright stars are imaged without disturbing color fringes. The reason is the high-quality triplet lens with the special FCD100 glass from Hoya from Japan. This lens corresponds to the correction of the well-known FPL53.

The air-gap triplet lens is mounted in a stable, temperature-compensated mount. The entire frame can be adjusted with tension and compression screws. Collimation does not occur through lateral pressure on the lenses and is therefore significantly more precise and better for imaging.
 
More information about Hoya's FCD100-APO element:

FCD100 is an ultra-low dispersion optical glass equivalent to Fluorite (CaF2). With this glass, in combination with optical glasses with a high refractive index, excellent correction of chromatic aberration can be achieved. The difference in dispersion performance compared to the FPL53, for example, is less relevant than the difference in how well the optics are polished. FCD100 is Hoya's name for this special glass, just as FPL53 is Ohara's trademarked name.
