72/432 (f/6) Flatfield APO with 71mm working distance in aluminum case (Quadruplet: 4 lenses in 2 groups)
QUADRUPLET APO for astrophotography The Lacerta 72mm ED-APO closes the gap between the inexpensive ED doublets and the more expensive and heavier triplet apochromats. Astrophotographers who value a particularly pure color image are well served with this APO. The two-lens ED lens was combined with a two-lens field flattener: this four-lens combination flattens far more than an APS-C format (see unprocessed test photo with a Canon EOS 6D camera). You get even better results for full format with the LWD flattener (see there).
The high-quality optical system, paired with the new Octo focuser (guided on 8 ball bearings), promises a lot of success in demanding photography. Even heavy cameras are held with good stability, focusing is very sensitive with the 1:10 micro focuser.
