TS-PHOTON / GSO 6" F/5 Advanced Newtonian Telescope with Carbon Tube - Extension with Micro Reduction

The PHOTON Newtonian reflector with 150 mm aperture and focal ratio f/5 is well suited for observation and astrophotography - the carbon tube provides more stability.
♦ Aperture 150 mm / focal length 750 mm / focal ratio F5

♦ High quality parabolic primary mirror with 94% specularity for a brighter image.

♦ Large secondary mirror with 63 mm diameter for a well illuminated field of view for astrophotography.

♦ Very good 2" Crayford focuser with 1:10 micro reduction for accurate focusing in astrophotography.

♦ Adjustable main and secondary mirror mount made of metal, practical adjustment aid on the main mirror.

♦ Focus position prepared for observation with all common eyepieces and for astrophotography with coma correctors.

♦ Due to the short length, the Newtonian is well suited for mounts from Skywatcher EQ3 upwards

♦ Central marking on the main mirror for easy adjustment available

♦ Carbon tube for more stability and better transport at the same time - Made in Germany!

♦ Comprehensive scope of delivery: 6x30 finder, tube clamps, prism rail

TS-PHOTON 150/750 mm Advanced Newtonian for astrophotography and observing.
This versatile Newtonian reflector telescope from the TS-PHOTON series offers a lot of light and features you will hardly find in this price range. 150 mm aperture already show you thousands of deep sky objects with lots of details. Resolve globular clusters into single stars or view details of the well-known nebulae. Thanks to the high quality parabolic primary mirror, the Newtonian will also show you many details on moon and planets. With the optional 2" extension TSV235 you can easily get all eyepieces in focus (see accessory recommendations).

Astrophotography is also possible with this telescope. The generously dimensioned secondary mirror offers a very good illumination. No shadow at the edge, but light and information, that is what this telescope offers you. The high-quality 2" Crayford focuser (ball bearing) already accepts all common coma correctors. This makes this telescope a real astrograph with very good field correction.

The advantages of the carbon tube:
The TS-PHOTON Newtonian comes with a high quality carbon tube. Besides the weight advantage of about 0.5 kilograms, the main advantage is the better stability of the focus during temperature changes. This is important for astrophotography. When temperatures drop, metal contracts and the focus wanders. A readjustment of the focus is necessary. The combination of tube and mirror makes it hardly necessary to readjust the focus, even with long exposures. The images become sharper.

A wonderful entry-level telescope
This PHOTON Newtonian is also ideal for beginners thanks to its simple operation and solid mechanics. We recommend the Skywatcher mount EQ3 or EQ5 for this Newtonian. Both mounts can be found in the accessories section. From the beginning, this telescope allows beautiful observations of moon, planets, but also of nebulae and galaxies. Later this PHOTON Newton can be equipped with accessories like coma correctors for astrophotography or even binocular approaches. The PHOTON Newton grows with your interests.

General info and features of the TS-PHOTON Newtonian telescopes:

♦ Bright parabolic optics with excellent contrast and very good sharpness for planetary observing.
♦ High-quality 2" Crayford eyepiece focuser for 2" and 1.25" accessories.
♦ 1:10 micro-reduction for precise focusing (astrophotography).
♦ Focal point position ideal for DSLR and other cameras.
♦ All common 1.25" and 2" eyepieces can be used without problems.
♦ Brighter image due to forced 94% mirroring on main and secondary mirrors.
♦ Motorized focus can be retrofitted at any time.
♦ A 0.5 mm thin stainless steel secondary provides stability. Astrophotographers will envy you for the gossamer and sharp spikes around bright stars.
♦ Adjustable main mirror mount and secondary mirror mount made entirely of metal.
