The Orion VX6L Newton is perfect for entry into amateur astronomy at a high level. Unlike typical 150mm Newton's from the Far East, the Orion VX6L offers all the features of a professional telescope, such as a solid focuser, optimized focus position, or reasonable versions of the two mirrors.

The telescope offers a very good visual performance at the level of a 120mm APO but for a much smaller price. Due to the small catch mirror (only 37mm diameter small axis) lunar craters, planets, binary stars ... are displayed with very high contrast. Of course, the illumination is still sufficient for the successful observation of deep sky objects, for example with 2 "overview eyepieces.

The main mirror cell:
