TS-Photon 8 "f / 6 planet Newton for visual observation and planetary photography This telescope from the PHOTON series is the TOP choice for dedicated observers and photographers of the moon and planets. The Newton is designed for precisely these areas of application and delivers the best possible performance. Nebulae, star clusters and galaxies can also be observed well with this Newton. Enjoy the fine stars up to the edge of the field of vision.

The uncompromisingly good image quality, which is comparable to a 150mm Apo, is achieved by the selected good quartz main mirror and by the small secondary mirror with only 50mm diameter.
The advantages of the PHOTON Newton at a glance:
♦ Best sharpness on the moon and planets ♦ With a weight of only 10kg, the telescope is still portable and can also be carried by smaller mounts ♦ Linear shading only 25%, nevertheless very good illumination, also for 2 "eyepieces ♦ Thanks to the relaxed aperture ratio of f / 6, you can achieve very good sharpness in the entire image field, even with inexpensive large field eyepieces ♦ Stable 2 "Crayford extension with 1:10 micro reduction for precise focusing and 1.25" reduction ♦ Steel tube and metal mirror holders for main and secondary mirrors ensure optimum adjustment stability ♦ Only with TS: carbon tube for retrofitting for easier transport
The mirror carrier made of quartz glass:
Every material has its specific expansion value. It is crucial how the mirror reacts to changes in temperature. The lower this expansion value, the less the mirror reacts to temperature fluctuations. It is ready for use faster and the image quality is higher right from the start.
The mirror carrier made of quartz glass has no discernible thermal expansion, so it is superior to known mirror carriers made of Pyrex or Suprax, similar to Zerodur. We recommend quartz mirrors because of their excellent surface area for building high-resolution Newtonian telescopes for the observation and photography of the moon and planets.
Astrophotography with the TS-PHOTON 8 "f / 6 Newton:
The telescope is optimized for visual observation and for photography of the moon and planets. The focus position of 40mm above the 2 "receptacle is optimal for both applications. With astro cameras, for example from ZWO, you can easily focus. A coma corrector is not necessary, up to a sensor size of about 20mm diameter. DSLR Cameras, on the other hand, need a converter that pulls the focal plane out further. With the 2 "Barlow + Photo Converter TSB22, you can do just that.
