Celestron telescope AstroMaster 114EQ
Thanks to a special correction lens, this mirror telescope is very compact - although it has a focal length of one meter, the tube is only fifty centimeters long. With an aperture of 114 mm, it already shows many deep sky objects, and thanks to the long focal length, even high magnifications on the planet are easy to reach.
The equatorial mount is specially designed for observing the sky: If you align it on the Polarstern, you only have to adjust the telescope in one axis if you are observing planets at high magnification, for example. This will help you find your destination quickly, even after a short break. While observing is more comfortable, it takes a little more time to set up because you have to align the mount and balance the telescope with the counterweights supplied. But you don't need any tools for parallactic mounting either, and it only takes a little longer to set up.
The AstroMaster telescopes
If you are looking for a versatile telescope for both sky and earth observation, then the AstroMaster series is the right choice for you. The image-straightening overview eyepiece (for Newtonian telescopes) provides upright, right-sided images.
An AstroMaster not only offers breathtaking views of the moon, of Saturn with its ring, Jupiter with its bands and moons, of nebulae and star clusters. You can also observe the sun's activity with an optional sun filter. If you are less interested in the members of the solar system and more interested in the brighter deep sky objects such as the galaxies and nebulae, we recommend one of the Newtonian reflectors with a larger light-collecting aperture.
