Telescope Omegon 114/900 Newton on EQ1 with accessories

The Omegon114 / 900 is a Newton mirror telescope, named after the inventor Isaak Newton. This tried and tested design, which has been tried and tested for over 300 years, provides beginners and young people with a very original form of sky observation with a telescope.

Newtonian telescopes are particularly popular because they have more light output in the same price range due to their larger aperture and show a color-pure picture than for example lens telescopes (refractors).

Thus, the Omegon 114/900 allows beautiful moon and planet observations (such as the rings of Saturn, Jupiter with cloud bands and its 4 brightest moons, craters and grooves on our moon) as well as some interesting deep-sky excursions to brighter objects such as eg the Orion Nebula, the Andromada Galaxy or the Cluster M13. The 6x30 optical viewfinder with crosshairs makes it easier to find and track celestial objects.

Telescope Omegon on EQ-1 - Newton Reflector

The EQ1 mount with (manual) fine adjustment has a counterbalance to the balancing of the optics. The aluminum tripod is height adjustable and can be adapted to different body sizes and "grows" so to speak.

To note:

- Selective focus on deep sky objects not very pronounced
- Not suitable for astrophotography.
- In addition, we recommend a lunar filter to protect the eyes and lunar observation
  for better contrast.
- Field tripod needed after touching / vibration 4-6 sec. Release time for
  a "wobble-free" observation
