Skywatcher Evostar-120 N-EQ5 120 / 1000mm BKR1201EQ5

The BKR1201 on the robust parallactic mount EQ5
A refractor with 120mm opening provides a high resolution for observing the moon and planets.
Crater, grooves and light and shadow play on the moon are a pleasure. Just like the clouds on Jupiter, the Great Red Spot and the ring of Saturn! Not to mention the moons of Jupiter, which within a few minutes change the distance to Jupiter and often cast shadows on Jupiter!
There is also enough light to observe many thousands of fog, star clusters, twin stars, and galaxies.
A well-corrected achromatic lens minimizes color errors. You will be delighted with the sharp and well-resolved picture.
This telescope is a powerful (almost) all-round telescope that can be used in any field of astronomy. It weighs only 5kg and has an overall length of 100cm (optical tube). The Fraunhofer refractor is still transportable. 120mm aperture means 44% more light than comparable telescopes with 100mm aperture and also a higher resolution.

The advantages of the BKR1201:

- a significantly larger opening with similar transportability compared to 4 "f / 10 refractors
- 120mm aperture with a high light intensity of f / 8.3
- relatively small color errors and high-contrast images
- very versatile (moon, planets, deep sky, photography)
- sturdy 2 "eyepiece extractor made of metal with 1.25" reduction and T2 photo connector
- Camera mounting for parallel photography on the front pipe clamp

The parallactic mount EQ5 with stainless steel stand:

The refractor is offered with the astronomical mount EQ5, which has clear advantages compared to the somewhat smaller EQ 3. Especially for photography. The height-adjustable stainless steel stand (90cm to 127cm) provides the necessary stability. The same telescope is often also offered on the smaller mount EQ3. We are convinced that the stable EQ5 is a good alternative with significantly less vibration and significantly higher stiffness.

A motor tracking as a supplement and a polsucher are optional and thus enable good results in the astrophotography. The accessories for the EQ5 can be found under "Accessories".
